Directory to set up screens for launch
In General#
We have a computer login for the launch. Message Adrian, Andrew, or James for login details. Keyboard and mouse are hidden in the cupboards of the room.
For youtube videos: Right click and select loop. Then play in fullscreen.
For vimeo videos: Just play in full screen, and it should loop.
There are backup videos in the downloads folder you can play in VLC. Press the loop button at the bottom. Do this if they don’t loop on youtube or vimeo. You may have to install VLC using the ‘Software Center’.
Crestrons turn off overnight and need to be turned on in the morning, by tapping the screen, and selecting PC. In the board rooms, the Crestron is under the table.
Confirm that the video is playing. You may have to login using the school launch account.
On some screens there is a blank powerpoint running in the background to try and ensure that each TV won’t turn off.
You can ignore the instructions below if the screen appears to be working, but in case of trouble shooting, there should be bit more info there and links to all the videos.
Level 1#

This animation is running on a mac-mini hidden behind. Changing it requires removing the front plate, so best not to.

Seminar Room Old TV
Seminar Room powerpoint is located in the downloads folder.

Try to remember to lock the innovation space computer at the end of the day, as we can’t remove the keyboard.

Open in Chrome and set to full screen. This program only works if chrome experimental features are turned on. chrome://flags then check “Experimental Web Platform features” is turned on.

PANIC - Turn the Crestron on. You may need to plug and unplug the HDMI that goes to the small metal Raspberry Pi - try not to unplug the power!
