Paul Okpe Michael is an electrical engineering technologist, educator, and researcher with over two decades of academic and professional experience. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Nile University of Nigeria, where his research focuses on solar photovoltaic systems, microgrid design, and energy management optimization.

At Nile University, he serves as Chief Technologist, senior design project coordinator, and Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) Coordinator in the Faculty of Engineering. He leads laboratory development, supervises student design projects, and teaches courses in electrical machines, circuit theory, electronics, and electrical services design. His work emphasizes practice oriented engineering education, particularly in renewable energy systems and sustainable infrastructure.

He was appointed Visiting Fellow at the Australian National University (ANU), within the ANU College of Systems and Society, where he engages in collaborative research with academic staff in the School of Cybernetics. This role reflects his commitment to interdisciplinary research and global academic collaboration.

Paul is a certified professional energy auditor (International Institute for Energy Training) with field experience under the GIZ–NESP programme. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and contributes to the academic community through research collaboration and technical review.

His broader interests include advancing clean energy solutions for developing economies and strengthening engineering education through applied research.
