Lifelong Learner. Cybernetics Analyst. Chocolate & Cheese Lover.#
Myrna is a PhD candidate at the ANU School of Cybernetics. She’s recently completed her Masters in Applied Cybernetics from the School of Cybernetics (2021 Masters Cohort). In addition, she also holds a Masters of Commerce with a specialisation in Business Analytics from UNSW and a cum laude Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB) Indonesia, where she grew up.
Myrna has been working at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia for the past 15 years, where she learned all the new skills on the job for various roles across multiple areas within the bank, from Customer Service, Executive Administration and Project Management to Data Analytics and Decision Science.
She’s interested in exploring the interconnection and relationship between technology, humans and the environment, especially from the sustainability perspective within the financial services (banking) system, using the AI-powered Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) safely, responsibly and sustainably to create a brighter future for all.
Her interest in the sustainable and ethical AI for good, love of learning and passion for helping others has motivated her to continue her study and pursue a PhD in Cybernetics at the ANU School of Cybernetics. She’s also devoted to giving back and sharing her knowledge, background & experiences in Business Analytics by teaching the postgraduate course at the UNSW Business School and volunteering in various activities to help others where possible.
In her spare time (outside of juggling between working, teaching and studying part-time), she likes to spend time with her husband and two children swimming, bike riding, bushwalking, watching movies, playing with LEGO, cooking and making crafty stuff (other than being her children’s private taxi driver for sports, school activities, birthday parties, etc.). She hopes to inspire her children and others never to stop learning, be curious and be kind ❤️
