Katie Reid is a Visiting Fellow in the School of Cybernetics at the Australian National University. Katie is a former partner in global and public-sector consultancies where she built and ran businesses focused on bringing a humanity-centred approach to designing the future. She is currently the Director of Regenerative Impact and Innovation at WWF Australia.
Katie brings practical experience leading delivery of some of Australia’s largest reforms and transformations over the past decade, applying principles of co-design and regeneration to strategy development, cross-sector collaboration, and executive leadership.
Katie is a multidisciplinary strategist, designer and communicator whose work has been recognised and awarded globally. She brings a process to working through ambiguity and complexity that has been applied to topics spanning: combatting modern slavery; climate adaptation; biosecurity; national security; energy transition; innovation in agriculture; and water management. Katie works as an independent advisor and facilitator, helping organisations become more systems-literate, imaginative and empowered to design and adapt to different futures.
