Ella McCarthy is a Communication Specialist within the School of Cybernetics.
She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Art from the ANU, with majors in the interdisciplinary fields of Science Communication, Biological Anthropology, English and Digital Humanities. Ella has just completed an Honours project in Science Communication with a focus on understanding ‘Audience’.
Along with fellow cyberneticist Isabel Richards, Ella is a complete nerd and host of the podcast Sci_Burst! Sci_Burst is a lovingly crafted podcast exploring science in movies, books, games, music and every other area of popular culture!
She can be found most days thinking about sustainable innovation, intersections of STEM & art, science accessibility, STEM equity and telegraph systems.
