Facilitator. Behavioural ecologist. Depop devotee.#

Eddie is the Learning Experiences Convenor at the School of Cybernetics.

She joined the School in 2024 after ten years in the public sector leading the delivery of science and technology engagement programs across Australia. She’s passionate about lifelong learning and loves facilitating moments of curiosity and discovery through the design of educational experiences that are learner-centered and impactful.

Eddie’s undergrade studies comprised an eclectic mix of ecology, evolution, linguistics and history and philosophy of science. She dabbled in research at the intersection of life history theory, ageing and sexual selection, before going on to study a Master of Science Communication at the ANU. Along the way, she helped to discover two new species of peacock spider (nicknamed Sparklemuffin and Skeletorus).
