Experience designer. Facilitator. Speed demon.#
Rob is the Learning Experiences (LX) Convener at the ANU School of Cybernetics.
A healthy relationship with risk – and a consequent injury-laden youth – led Rob to a Bachelor of Medical Science. A talent for explaining complex concepts and passion for building human connection in his early career in health took him to a Master of Science Communication.
From humble beginnings as a landscape assistant, Rob has worked in tertiary education, health, community engagement, CSIRO, the Square Kilometre Array, Questacon, and was Program Director of the bottom-up innovation program for the Royal Australian Air Force. He has started and grown a company built to share what he learned about changing culture, leading through uncertainty and working with organisational dynamics.
He joined the ANU School of Cybernetics in 2026, and connects clients from diverse sectors to cybernetic tools and concepts they can adopt and apply to make real change. Rob loves practical experiential learning programs built for real world application.
Areas of Expertise: Learning Experience Design, Facilitation, Facilitator Development, Science Communication, Program Design and Evaluation, Organisational Change, Innovation & Creativity, Governance, Leading Through Uncertainty, Artificial Intelligence, Systems Thinking, Public Sector Capability.
