Teacher. System analyst. Baker.#

Matthew brought to the 3Ai Masters first cohort his experience and passion in education, systems development, and computer animation.

Before 3Ai, he was an Information Technology teacher, developing Data Science and IT curriculum and ran a Global Classroom Partnership program. It is his passion for teaching, incorporating interdisciplinary approaches, and international experience that gives him an appreciation of how diverse cultures and understandings can drive different approaches to technologies.

During his Masters, Matthew was involved in designing and building ‘Cognitive Cubes’, a game-based educational platform that helps people to learn and learns about people – this project was a hit with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella on his visit in 2019.

Matthew hopes to become a driver of positive future directions for cyber-physical systems in educational contexts. The next step towards this goal sees him embarking on a PhD at ANU looking at the implications of deploying cyber-physical systems to improve educational outcomes of students.
