Rebecca is a PhD candidate in the School of Cybernetics. She is an interdisciplinary artist working in pedagogical, participatory and context specific ways. She holds a Bachelor Arts Hons (first class) and a PhD from the University of Newcastle (2006) during which her field work (1997-2002) in Indonesia resembled the sequel to “The Year of Living Dangerously.”

Her creative work has been presented in Australia and internationally, and she has taught at several universities in performance, community cultural development, theatre, and socially engaged practice. Rebecca also works as freelance editor and strategist for arts and non-arts organisations and is regularly commissioned to create evaluation and assessment reports.

At the School of Cybernetics Rebecca is undertaking her (second) PhD (eeek!) to develop a cybernetic praxis for a world on fire.
