Sarah joined the School of Cybernetics as part of a partnership with the French public agency Expertise France. She is a secondee at the school, working on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies topics. Her goal is to create bridges between the academic and policy worlds. She is particularly interested in AI’s social, political and environmental impacts as well as in AI innovation, geopolitics and regulations. She is currently pursuing a degree in AI Law and Ethics.
She has international experience in academic cooperation and public policy settings. She previously worked with French foreign services, cooperation agencies, international organisations and higher education institutions in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Her academic background is in social/political sciences and international affairs. She graduated from Sciences Po with a Master in International Affairs and a Bachelor in European and Asian Studies. She also holds a Certificate in Public Policy Analysis from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Sarah loves to travel and has had the chance to live in 6 countries on 3 continents. Her exploring of the world doesn’t stop on land and she’s recently taken up scuba diving! A few other hobbies are roaming museums, unearthing cute cafes and bookshops, and practising yoga.
