Political analyst. Enthusiastic delegator. Federer wannabe.#

Flynn Shaw is a Research Assistant at the School of Cybernetics. He’s currently studying a double degree of Politics, Philosophy and Economics/International Relations, with a minor in Chinese language.

Prior to working at the School of Cybernetics, Flynn worked as an Electorate Officer in the Australian Senate for the National Party, whilst also moonlighting as a cocktail bartender. The former position gave him experience in policy formation and analysis; the latter made him a gin snob.

Flynn is looking forward to contributing to the AI-governance conversation, and bringing this technology closer to regional people. If that doesn’t work out, he plans to open up a hole-in-the-wall sandwich store.

The Australian National University acknowledges, celebrates and pays our respects to the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people of the Canberra region and to all First Nations Australians on whose traditional lands we meet and work, and whose cultures are among the oldest continuing cultures in human history.
